PSG-06's mission is to build awareness of assistive technology for communication and cognition within the therapy and engineering professions, to foster relationships among practitioners and researchers, who wish to explore this exciting and growing rehabilitation field, and encourage new ideas to improve functional outcomes for individuals with communication and cognitive disability.
Please help our PSG create build and establish objectives for the next quarter. A conference call will be scheduled shortly to discuss this task.
Chair: Beth Speaker-Christensen, MA/CCC-SLP/L, ATP
Beth graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1991 and 1994 with her BS and MA. She received a Campus Certificate in Assistive Technology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2006. She became an ATP in 2007. She has worked at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Chicago since 1998, and has recently joined the AT Team in the PAEC (Proviso Area for Exceptional Children) Cooperative in Maywood, Illinois. She is married to John, and has two children, Bobby (11) and Emma (9).
